About this policy
This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used on the IFR Events website operated by For A Cause Events Ltd. For information about personal data and enquiries, read our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small files stored by websites in your browser. Local storage is another browser feature that can remember information between visits. Our privacy controls cover the optional YouTube media described below.
Your privacy choices
You can accept all currently offered optional media, reject optional media, or open Settings to choose. External Media is off by default. Closing the settings window, scrolling or continuing to browse does not give consent.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie Settings in the website footer. In brochure and brand readers, the control is beside the bottom navigation. Contact and booking forms remain available when optional media is rejected.
Necessary storage and website functions
We store your privacy choice in first-party local storage under the key ifr_consent_v1. It records whether external media is allowed, the policy version, the time of your choice and its expiry. It does not contain your name, email address, booking details or an advertising identifier, and this implementation does not send that record to our server.
Your choice is valid for up to 180 days in the same browser on this website. The stored record contains an expiry date checked by the website; local storage is not automatically deleted by your browser at that date. After expiry, we ask again and treat optional media as disabled until a new choice is made. Clearing site data, using another browser or a relevant change to our consent controls may also require a new choice. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page only.
WordPress uses essential cookies for staff authentication, login security and certain administration preferences. These apply when using those functions. Our custom enquiry and booking forms use security tokens and server-side submission limits; this consent feature does not add advertising or analytics tracking to those forms.
Optional external media: YouTube
We use YouTube, provided by Google, for aftermovies and other event videos. Embedded players and YouTube-hosted thumbnails are held back until you allow External Media. Website-hosted photographs and thumbnails can be shown without contacting YouTube.
Choosing Allow YouTube on a video placeholder enables External Media across this website for the duration of your saved choice. It has the same effect for this category as enabling it in Cookie Settings. Once allowed, a video player loads when you open it, or when a YouTube embed is present in the page content.
Our players use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. This is not a guarantee of no data processing: Google receives connection information such as your IP address and browser details, and may use cookies or browser storage in connection with playback and interaction. Google’s storage can vary with your account, browser and use of its service. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and cookie information for its practices and controls.
You can also choose Watch on YouTube. That opens YouTube as a separate website, where Google’s own privacy and consent settings apply.
Changing or withdrawing consent
To withdraw permission, open Cookie Settings and choose Reject Optional, or switch External Media off and save. Loaded IFR YouTube players are removed, playback stops, and this website stops loading those optional media resources. Open tabs are updated where your browser supports storage events.
Withdrawal does not undo information already sent to Google or delete cookies and storage controlled by another domain. You can manage or remove those through your browser’s site-data controls and Google’s privacy settings.
Analytics and advertising
This IFR consent implementation does not install an analytics or advertising service. We do not show an unused analytics or advertising category. If we introduce an optional tracking service, we will update the information and controls and integrate that service with consent before enabling it.
