Welcome to the IFR Joga! Below are the official rules for the competition. Please read carefully to ensure that you are fully informed about the match formats, scoring, and progression.
Date and Time:
Date: 26th July

Finish Time: Matches must finish by 21:15
Teams and Groups:
Maximum Number of Teams: 16 teams.
Groups: 4 groups of 4 teams each.
Qualification: Top 2 teams from each group advance to the Knockout Stage (Quarterfinals).
Format:
Pitch Type: Octagon with an area of approximately 95 sqm.
Match Duration: 8 minutes per match.
Substitutions: Flying substitutions (ongoing substitutions allowed) (subs are allowed only when the team attempting to make a substitution has the ball).
Team Composition: Each team consists of 5 players (3 players on the field at all times, and a maximum of 2 flying substitutes).
Points System:
Win: 3 points
Draw: 1 point
Loss: 0 points
Group Stage:
World Cup Style:
Teams play round-robin matches within their group.
Tie-breaking criteria in the group stage, in order of application:
Points accumulated
Goal difference
Goals scored
Head-to-head result
Knockout Stage:
Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Final:
Knockout matches proceed with a direct elimination format.
In case of a draw at the end of the regular time, Golden Goal extra time will be played. The first team to score in extra time wins the match, and the game ends immediately.
Disciplinary Actions:
Yellow Card: A yellow card results in a 30-second suspension for the player receiving the card. During this time, the player must leave the pitch, and the team plays with one fewer player.
Red Card: A red card results in the player being sent off, and the team must continue with only 2 players for the remainder of the match.
Goal Line Violation (1m marked area from goalpost):
Rule: No player is allowed to remain on or near the goal line for prolonged periods during the match.
First Warning: Referees will issue a warning to the player/team.
Yellow Card: If a player is found staying on or near the goal line after being warned, they will receive a yellow card and a 30-second suspension.
Red Card: If a player accumulates 3 warnings for staying on or near the goal line, a red card will be issued, and the player will be sent off. The team must play with only 2 players for the remainder of the match.
Fair Play: Disciplinary actions and fair play guidelines will be strictly enforced at all times.
General Rules:
Equipment: Teams are encouraged to wear similar coloured jerseys. Bibs will be provided for identification purposes. The tournament will use a Size 4 ball. Players are encouraged to wear flat/futsal shoes.
Restart Position (after goal is scored): Once a goal has been scored, the team that conceded the goal has to restart the gameplay from the centre of the pitch.
Fair Play: Respect for opponents, officials, and spectators is expected. Any unsporting behaviour may result in penalties or disqualification.
Referees: Qualified referees will officiate matches.
Eligibility:
Corporate Teams Only: All players on each team must be employees of the same company. Each player must provide proof of employment if requested.
Male-Only Event: This edition of the tournament is for male participants only.
If there is demand for a female edition, it will be held in the morning prior to the start of the men’s event.
Registration and Check-in:
Team List Form: All teams must complete and submit a Team List Form prior to the event. This form will require the name and contact information of the team captain or team representative.
Player Waiver Forms: Each player must complete an online waiver form before participating in the event. Players will not be allowed to compete without submitting the waiver form.
Check-in: Teams are required to check in at the registration desk on the day of the event, confirm their participation, and provide any additional required information.
Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners-up.
Venue Regulations:
Respect the venue rules and maintain cleanliness.
Spectators must adhere to the event guidelines and behave responsibly.
